Terms of Sale
These are the rules for buying a closet sliding door from Buildr Home. When you press the payment button you agree to them. Please read sections 5, 8 and 9 before you pay, because a door made to your size is not like a shelf item.
1. Who is selling to you
Buildr Home is run by YNET Plus Inc., an Ontario corporation. Buildr and Buildr Home are the names it trades under. In these Terms "we", "us" and "Buildr Home" mean YNET Plus Inc.
- Website: slidingdoor.ca
- Email: hi@buildr.to
- Phone and text: +1 437 525 3828, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM
- Mailing address and pickup counter: 201 Millway Ave, Unit 28, Concord, ON L4K 5K8, Canada
You buy the door from YNET Plus Inc. Your contract, your receipt and any refund come from us.
2. Who these Terms are for
Buildr Home is for people buying a door for their own home. You must be at least 18 to buy. Everyone pays the same public price shown on the site.
If you are a trade customer buying through the Buildr app, different terms apply, and you can find them at buildr.to/terms.html.
Nothing in these Terms takes away a right you have under Ontario or Canadian law, and nothing in them is meant to. If a sentence here seems to do that, the law wins.
3. Your door and your measurements
You choose the look, the number of panels, the colour and the opening size. The site shows the price before you pay, and the pay step shows the price, HST and total.
Your door is made to the size you enter. Check your measurements before you pay. If you are not sure about a reading, call us, or text a photo of your opening to +1 437 525 3828, before you pay and we will help you check it. Our measuring guide is at slidingdoor.ca/guides/how-to-measure/.
Photos are examples. The door you receive will match the look, size and options on your order.
4. When your order becomes a contract
When you place your order and pay, you are asking us to make your door. Your order becomes a contract when we email you an order confirmation. We aim to send it within one business day.
The confirmation is your copy of the agreement. It shows your door, the price, HST, the total, the pickup address and hours, and how to cancel. Please keep it.
If we cannot accept your order, we will tell you and refund the full amount you paid, including HST. We will not change your door or your price without asking you first.
5. Price, HST and payment
- Prices are in Canadian dollars.
- HST is added at checkout. The pay step shows the price, the HST and the total before you pay.
- Nothing else is added to the price. There is no delivery charge, because you pick the door up, and no extra charge for paying by card or with Klarna.
- We take payment when you place the order.
Card and wallets. Stripe takes your payment. You type your card details into Stripe's payment page, and we do not receive or store your full card number. Your card company's terms also apply.
Klarna Pay in 4. Klarna may be offered on the Stripe payment page. If you choose it, you split the total into 4 payments with Klarna. Klarna is a separate company. Klarna decides whether to offer it to you, and Klarna's own terms are the agreement for your payments. Buildr Home does not provide the payments, does not set their terms and does not decide who can use them. Klarna says there is no interest and no fee if every payment is made on time. If you miss a payment, Klarna may charge a late fee and take other steps set out in its terms. You can always pay by card instead. If we refund an order paid with Klarna, we send the refund through Stripe, and Klarna adjusts what you still owe. How quickly that shows is up to Klarna. More at slidingdoor.ca/pay-over-time/.
Nothing here limits your right to ask your card company or Klarna to look at a payment you dispute.
6. Pickup only
Buildr Home does not deliver and does not install. You collect your door at our pickup counter.
- Where: Buildr Home pickup counter, 201 Millway Ave, Unit 28, Concord, ON L4K 5K8.
- When: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. Closed on statutory holidays, Saturday and Sunday.
- How soon: your door is usually ready about 2 business days after you pay. This is our estimate, not a promise of an exact day. If we expect to be late, we will tell you and explain your options.
- Wait for our message. We email you, and we text you, when your door is ready. Please wait for it before you travel.
- How long we hold it: we keep your finished door for you for 30 days after we tell you it is ready. If it has not been collected, we remind you by email and text on day 7 and on day 21. After 30 days we contact you to arrange a new pickup day. We will not do anything else with your door, or keep your payment because of a late pickup, without telling you first.
- What to bring: your order number. If someone else is collecting for you, contact us first so we can note their name. We may ask the person collecting to confirm your name and order number. We do not ask for copies of identity documents.
- Check at pickup. Please look the door over when you collect it and tell us right away about visible damage, missing parts or a size or look that does not match your order. Checking at pickup does not take away a claim for a hidden fault.
- Transport. Doors are large and some have glass. Please bring a suitable vehicle and help. The door becomes yours, and at your risk, when we hand it to you or to the person you named.
7. Installation and the installer referral
We do not install doors. If you want help, we can pass your job to an independent installer in the GTA.
- The installer is a separate business. They are not our employee, agent or contractor.
- The installer quotes and books the work with you directly. Their price, their timing and their work are agreed between you and them.
- We do not do, supervise or guarantee the installer's work, and we are not responsible for it. This does not reduce what we owe you for the door itself.
- We only share your name, phone number and job details with an installer when you ask us to pass your job on. How we handle that information is in our Privacy Policy.
- Please ask the installer about their insurance and any warranty on their work before you hire them.
8. Cancelling, changing and refunds
Your door is cut and built for your opening after you order, so what you can get back depends on how far along it is. How to cancel: email hi@buildr.to with your order number. We go by the time your email reaches us, not the time we read it.
| Where your door is when we get your request | What happens |
|---|---|
| We have not started making it | Full refund of what you paid, including HST. If you want a change instead, we give you a new price and you decide. |
| We have started making it but it is not finished | You can cancel. We may keep the reasonable, documented costs we cannot recover for work and materials already committed to your door, never more than the price of your door. We refund the rest, and adjust HST as the law requires. We will show you what we kept and why. |
| The door is finished and made correctly to your order | We do not take change of mind returns. We may agree to an exception in writing. Faults, wrong goods and your legal rights are not affected. |
| We cannot make or supply your door, or we cancel when you have done nothing wrong | Full refund, including HST. |
"We have started making it" means the factory has begun cutting or building material for your order. Taking your payment, or passing your order to the factory, does not count by itself.
There is no restocking fee and no hidden charge. Refunds go back to the way you paid, through Stripe, and we start the refund within 5 business days after we agree the amount. Your bank or Klarna may take longer to show it.
If we are late. If we do not give you your door when we said we would, tell us. Ontario law gives you the right to cancel in some late supply cases, and we will honour it.
If you did not get a copy of this agreement. If we did not send you the order confirmation, or something in these Terms was not shown to you before you ordered, Ontario law may give you added rights to cancel an online purchase. Contact us and we will tell you where you stand.
9. Faults, damage and warranty
We must sell you a door that matches your order, is of acceptable quality and is fit for its normal use as a closet door. These are legal duties. We cannot cancel them, and nothing in these Terms tries to.
- If your door is damaged, faulty, incomplete or not what you ordered, tell us as soon as you can at hi@buildr.to, with your order number, a short description and photos if you have them.
- Please do not install a door you think may be unsafe. Keep it so we can look at it.
- We will repair it, replace it, refund you or give you another remedy the law and your contract require.
- Please do not send a door back to the factory yourself. We will arrange it.
- No separate warranty. We do not give a separate manufacturer's warranty with the door. Your rights against us as the seller, and your rights under Ontario law, apply in full.
- Measurements. If your door was made correctly to the size you entered, and the size turns out to be wrong for your opening, we do not refund or replace it for that reason, except where the law says otherwise. That is why we help you check your measurements before you pay (section 3). We are always responsible for our own mistakes, such as a typing or processing error, a faulty door, or not following your order.
10. Our responsibility
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking our contract with you or our legal duties.
We are not responsible for:
- loss that was not a foreseeable result of our breach;
- the work, price or conduct of an installer you hire;
- Klarna's decisions, fees or terms;
- lost profit or business loss, if you bought the door for business.
Nothing in these Terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for a faulty or wrongly described door, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
11. Messages and privacy
We email you your order confirmation and updates. We text you about your order only: when your door is ready, and pickup reminders if it has not been collected. We do not send marketing emails or texts, and an order text never carries an offer. If that ever changes, we will ask you first.
Our Privacy Policy (slidingdoor.ca/privacy/) explains what we collect, why, who helps us handle it, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to see, correct or remove it.
12. Using the website
Please use the site lawfully and honestly, and only give us information you are entitled to give. Our content and software stay ours or belong to those who license them to us. We may block access that looks like misuse. This never takes away what we owe you for an order already accepted.
13. Law, disputes and changes
These Terms and your purchase are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You can bring a dispute in the courts of Ontario, unless a law gives you the right to use another place. Please contact us first so we can try to fix the problem. That is a request, not a condition of any legal right. These Terms do not require arbitration, do not take away a right to join a class proceeding, do not shorten any time limit the law gives you, and do not stop you going to a regulator or small claims court.
We may update these Terms for future orders by posting the new version with its date. The Terms in force when you placed your order govern that order, unless you agree to a change. If a part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
