Common sizes and what they cost

What closet sliding doors cost for the usual openings, panel and mirror. The table reads the live price list, so it never goes out of date, and the exact price for your own opening shows on the design page.

Closet sliding doors are named for the opening they close, written width by height in inches: 72 × 80 is an opening 72 inches wide and 80 inches high. The doors themselves are smaller panels that overlap in the middle and run on a top and a bottom track. You never subtract or add anything. You type the opening, and we match the size that fits.

Price by opening width

Framed white doors, for an opening 80 inches high. Prices are in Canadian dollars before HST, read from the live price list. Wider openings use 3 panels so each panel stays a manageable size.

An opening between two sizes is priced at the next size up, and the line under the price on the design page says which size you get. Black and frameless cost a little more; the design page shows the exact number as you choose.

Not a standard size?

Most older closets aren't. Measure the opening, not the old door: width at the top, middle and bottom, height at the left, middle and right, and use the smallest of each. The measuring guide goes step by step. Then type the two numbers into the design page in inches (59 3/4 goes in as 59.75) and the price shows.

Questions

What are the standard closet sliding door sizes?

Closet sliding doors are sold by the opening they fill, not by the door. Common openings run from 36 to 120 inches wide, and wider closets use 3 panels. The table above shows the price for each. A size that is not in the table is not a problem: type your own.

What if my opening is between two sizes?

It is priced at the next size up, and the line under the price on the design page tells you which size you are getting before you pay. The price never changes after you have paid.

Do these prices include HST, tracks and fascia?

Prices are in Canadian dollars before HST, which is added at checkout. Each price is the complete kit: the door panels, the top track, the bottom track and the fascia.

How fast can I get a door in these sizes?

Ready for pickup in about 2 business days after payment, with the date shown before you pay. Buildr Home is pickup only.
